Sikkim
is one among some noted leading tourist destinations in
India on the great Himalayan belt. Spiritually it is
believed that Sikkim is one of the Hidden Paradise
Bayul blessed by Guru Padmasamvawa and Indrakil the
Hindu believers say so. Being a holy land Sikkim is also
an isolated and peaceful destination with many sacred
places and great caves for the pilgrims and religion
lovers to visit. Sikkim has about 30 varieties of
rhododendrons, 600 species of orchids 600 species of
butterflies, 45 species of fish, 45 species of reptiles
and many varieties of vegetations. Some indigenous wild
animals found in Sikkim are noted as endangered species
on earth . Many beautiful Buddhist monasteries, Hindu
Temples lovely mountain people with rich culture,
traditions and great nature. Sikkim is a great place for

temperature vary from 4 degree to 35deg. Centigrade. The

Cent. At high altitude above 4000meters the temperature
never rises above 15 deg.Centigrade and remains much
below the freezing point during winter.
Monsoon begins some where at late June ends around early
September.
Clothing's for both seasons are light summer wears with
light sweaters and light jumpers for summer and warm
jackets and sweaters, caps, socks and hand gloves for
winter. Sleeping bags advisable always. |
