Naku Chumbong and Singyang Sindrang Villages:

Naku Chumbong village falls right below Pelling with a road leading from the right side of the turnoff near Hotel Chenden Dzong which covers the didtance of nearly two kilometers from Pelling . The village starts from where the road begins  it has on either side of the road lushly green  half wild vegetation and red cardamom plants,  farming fields and the traditional houses with Buddhist prayer flags, that is the hallmark of the  Bhutia community whose culture, tradition and way of life are interesting to experience. Lower down the village  are mostly the Chettri, Bahun community . Their culture, tradition and way of life too are interesting too. Singyang and Sindrang too are the villages below Pelling on the  left side which can be seen near from the end of lower Pelling. Singyang has habitation of Bhutia, Gurung and other mixed Nepali community . Where as Sindrang has settlement of Bhutias and Lepchas. Besides the road there are short cut foot paths connecting these villages and the visitors can go walking for a day out. Advisable to have a local guide.
