About Pelling Tourism Development
Association.

Pelling Tourism Development Association was founded under
the president ship of Shri D.N.Thakarpa with about 20
members in the year 1996 and it got government registration
in the year 2003. Aims and objectives of this organization
are to promote and manage tourism, conserve environment,
preserve local culture, traditions and artifacts and to
check impacts for good tourism and a sound society. Its main
activities have been :1. Millennium 2000 Festival 2.
Khangchendzonga Tourism Festival 2005 every year. 3.
Workshop with Ecoss. 4. Photo contest program 5. Impact
irradiation program activities in joint venture with other
social organizations. 5. Tourism Promotion programs. |
